ABOUT:
Too many of us with healthy brains take them for granted. Inundation of technology attacks our brains every day, and being intentional with our minds is a daily challenge.
Brainwave is NYC’s first social club aimed at promoting brain health, through one of history’s greatest brain games: chess.
The club is powered by the Mathew Forbes Romer Foundation, a nonprofit founded in 1998 on a mission to cure rare children’s genetic brain diseases (those who were not lucky enough to be born with a healthy brain).
In partnership with Blue Stripes Cacao (an amazing health and wellness-focused coffee/cacao/wine shop in Greenwich Village), we’ll play fun, dramatic games of chess with new friends while taking care of our brains.
Brainwave is beginner-friendly and we encourage players of all skill levels to join us. Don’t know how to play? Great, come learn. Cool kids play chess. If you have any questions, DM us on IG (@brainwave.chess), and be sure to follow our upcoming events. We’re excited to have you here!!
