What an incredible way to kick-off the New Year! On January 11, 2026 we had our 2nd Annual Mathew Forbes Romer Foundation Brain Health Hustle 5K Run/Walk and Genetic Testing Fair in Boca Raton, Florida, exceeding all expectations. The event was dedicated to promoting brain health and supporting the battle against rare children’s genetic brain diseases.

We were thrilled to see such an incredible turnout of over 250 runners, families, and supporters who enjoyed a beautiful winter morning, which promoted healthy habits and supported this important cause. A new highlight this year was showcasing the major partnership for Genetic Testing between MFRF and jscreen! Over 30 people registered with the event for Reproductive Carrier and/or Hereditary Cancer Screening with many more to potentially follow.
