Dear Friends of the MFRF,

We are excited to share with you the success of the Mathew Forbes Romer Foundation’s Annual Celebration held on Sunday, February 25, 2024 at the Boca Raton Marriott. Over 160 people attended and the funds raised far exceeded our goals to support our mission.

Our program and video were powerful tributes to the beautiful, inspiring children and families, and spanned our mission of Genetic Screening, Nursing Education, and Research of Treatments and Cures. We announced that the dosing of the children for the Gene Therapy Clinical Trial completed all low, mid and high levels, and videos of the children showed the examples of impact.

Additionally, we were thrilled to recognize our “See The Light” honoree. Kathy Flynn, Chief Executive Officer of National Tay-Sachs and Allied Diseases, for her leadership of the first-ever Externally Led - Patient Focused Drug Development with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the partnership of NTSAD with MFRF. The presentation culminated with a "Fireside Chat" between Kathy and the President of MFRF, Kevin Romer.

The event was filled with many other exciting and memorable moments filled with reunions and lots of smiles.
