Join us for the 2017 Sweetness and Laughter Gala and See the Light Awards

For 19 years, the work of the Mathew Forbes Romer Foundation has been inspired by Mathew and so many other children.

Our “Sweetness & Laughter” “ symbolizes how laughter is an important way of coping with the devastating impact of fatal genetic diseases on these sweet children and their families

"The Capitol Steps” are sure to tickle our funny bones with their clever and creative humor targeting our nation’s politicians and today’s hot political topics. Since their beginning in 1981, The Capitol Steps have performed shows and have recorded over 30 albums, including their latest, “What to Expect, When You’re Electing ”. They’ve been featured on NBC, CBS, ABC, and PBS and around the country.

MFRF is proud to continue our tradition of recognizing the wonderful work of leaders in the fight against children ’s genetic diseases of the brain with our “See the Light” Awards Ceremony.

This year we honor:

Monica Gettleman
Vice President of Family Services
National Tay-Sachs and Allied Diseases Association

Drs. Randy Blakely and Rod Murphey
